I have been teaching golf since 1996 – thirty years of working with junior golfers of every age, ability, and attention span. In that time, the one thing that has never changed is this: when a kid is having fun, they learn. When it start to feel like work, they leave. Everything I teach is built around that truth.
My goal is simple – put a club in a young golfer’s hands and show them a game they can play, enjoy, and return to for the rest of their life.
Why I Built Homeschool Golf Academy
After thirty years on the lesson tee, I kept noticing something. The kids who stayed with golf weren’t just becoming better golfers, they were becoming better thinkers.
When a nine-year old asks why their ball curves left, that’s a physics lesson. When they start keeping score, that’s arithmetic. When they learn to read the wind or manage a course carved through wetlands, that’s environmental science. When they show up, shake hands, and rake the bunker, that’s etiquette, character, and life skills.
I started working with homeschool families and saw it click into place. Golf could be the foundation of a genuinely well-rounded education – not as a gimmick, but as a living, breathing curriculum that moves. A subject a kid actually wants to show up for.

How it Works
(Parent-Led & Flexible)
- You Lead the Lessons – We provide everything: video tutorials, step-by-step parent coaching guides, printable worksheets, progress trackers, quizzes, and at-home drill ideas.
- Customizable Pace – Move as fast or slow as your child needs. Lessons fit around your family’s routine — 30 to 60 minutes a day, a few times a week, or deeper dives on weekends.
- Occasional On-Course Application –Optional field trips to your local course bring the learning to life (perfect for families with golf facilities nearby!)
Official Homeschool Credit – Upon completion of modules, your child earns homeschool-compatible credits (aligned with standards that are widely accepted), plus a beautiful certificate of achievement.
